Carlos Yulo named PSA Athlete of the Year, IAM Worldwide brand ambassador

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, set to be honored as the Philippine Sportswriters Association's (PSA) 2024 Athlete of the Year for his achievements in the Paris Olympics, has been named a brand ambassador for IAM Worldwide Corporation's Amazing Choco Barley drink.

Yulo, who hails from Manila and is the second Filipino Olympic gold medalist after weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz, won double gold in men's floor exercise and vault at the 2024 Paris Olympics, marking a historic feat for Philippine gymnastics.

The PSA Awards Night will celebrate Yulo's accomplishments along with other esteemed Olympians during an event themed 'Golden Year, Golden Centenary'.

IAM Worldwide president Allen Marvin Yu Eder highlighted Yulo’s global achievements and noted that the athlete is the first gymnast to receive Athlete of the Year since 1997.

Yulo expressed his gratitude for the new partnership, saying: 'I am ready to embrace better health together with IAM Worldwide.'

The 24-year-old also has deals with EastWest Bank, the DigiPlus Interactive Group and Sip Plus, among others.
