Yulo qualifies for second straight Olympics, competes with Filipino-American athletes

Carlos Yulo has qualified for his second consecutive Olympic Games after performing well in the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships and will compete alongside Filipino-American athletes Aleah Finnegan, Emma Malabuyo, and Levi Ruivivar in Paris.

Yulo, the reigning champion of Philippine gymnastics, currently ranks second in floor exercise with 14.766 points and sixth in vault with an average of 14.683 points as he advances to apparatus finals for both events.

The four-member delegation will participate in various competitions throughout July and August, with Yulo's schedule including men's qualification on July 27 and all-around finals on July 31.

Malabuyo, Finnegan, and Ruivivar have secured their places in the women’s qualification subdivision on July 28, marking a strong presence for Philippine gymnastics at the Olympics.
