UST routs DLSZ, advances to UAAP girls' finals

University of Santo Tomas defeated De La Salle-Zobel by a score of 107-47 on Sunday to advance to the UAAP Season 87 girls' basketball tournament finals.

Grachelle Boteros led UST with 24 points and earned her second Player of the Game award, contributing to their perfect 5-0 record.

UST will face National University-Nazareth School in a best-of-three series for the championship title, marking the return of the league after a five-year hiatus.

Coach Sen Dysangco emphasized that while UST was declared co-champions with Adamson University in Season 82 due to the pandemic, they are focused on their upcoming matches.

UST wasted no time imposing its dominance by racing to a 31-6 lead in the first quarter and extending it to 59-22 at halftime.
