UST men's team beats Adamson, goes to 4-1

University of Santo Tomas (UST) secured a decisive victory over Adamson University in the UAAP Season 87 men's volleyball tournament on Saturday at SM Mall of Asia Arena.

UST dominated the match with a score of 25-18, 25-15, 25-23, thanks to key contributions from newcomers Alche Gupiteo and JJ Macam, who combined for seven points in a crucial run during the third set.

The Golden Spikers improved their record to 4-1 after winning three straight matches, tying with National University and Ateneo de Manila University for second place behind undefeated Far Eastern University.

UST's victory was marked by high energy and maturity on the court, as Gupiteo noted: 'We just trusted one another and played with maturity inside the court.'

In the women's division, defending champion National University is now tied with UST at 3-1 after defeating the University of the East in a four-set match.
