NU-Nazareth secures Final Four spot, extends unbeaten streak to eleven

National University-Nazareth School secured their place in the Final Four of the UAAP Season 87 High School Boys' Basketball Tournament with a commanding 89-70 victory over University of the East on Sunday at Filoil EcoOil Centre, extending their unbeaten streak to eleven games.

Collins Akowe recorded his tenth double-double of the season with 18 points and 18 rebounds, while Macmac Alfanta led the Bullpups with 18 points.

Far Eastern University-Diliman snapped a crucial eight-game winning streak for University of Santo Tomas by defeating them 67-60 in their previous game, thanks largely to MVP frontrunner Cabs Cabonilas who scored 22 points.

With ten wins this season, the Bullpups are now just one victory away from securing a playoff incentive and three wins short of an outright Finals berth.

University of Santo Tomas clinched at least a playoff for a semifinals berth with their recent win over Ateneo.
