UK to donate 415K AstraZeneca vax doses to PH

The United Kingdom is set to donate 415,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines to the Philippines in August.

British Ambassador Daniel Pruce announced during a farewell call with Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. that the vaccine shipment is tentatively scheduled to arrive on Monday, Aug. 2.

This donation is part of the UK's pledge to distribute 100 million doses globally within a year, with 30 million due by end of 2021.
