China pledges more vaccine donations to PH

Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian pledged on Thursday to donate more and ensure a steady supply of COVID-19 vaccines to the Philippines.

Huang made this announcement during the inauguration of the P1.46-billion China-funded Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge, emphasizing that China will continue its support in fighting the pandemic.

The ambassador highlighted that half of the country's over 27 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines are Sinovac, which are Chinese vaccines.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. previously stated that the Philippines' vaccine supply is short by 42 million doses.
