Caraga reports 261 new COVID-19 cases, 10.9K recoveries

As of Friday, 10,901 residents in Caraga have recovered from COVID-19, with 261 new cases reported on Saturday.

Four additional deaths were recorded, bringing the total to 433 in the region.

Butuan City has implemented stricter measures under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) until May 31, including curfew hours and a liquor ban.

The city's spike in cases prompted Mayor Ronnie Vicente Lagnada to enforce these measures; as of Friday, Butuan had 4,302 total cases with 633 active cases and 109 deaths.
