Solomon leads NU to 3-0 sweep over Ateneo, boosting team's standings

Alyssa Solomon led National University to a decisive 3-0 victory over Ateneo in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament on Wednesday night.

Solomon scored 22 points from attacks, contributing significantly to the Lady Bulldogs' win, while Vangie Alinsug supported with 15 points and strong defense.

The match saw National University dominate in attack points (43-27), digs (47-29), sets (17-10), and receptions (29-24), showcasing their control over Ateneo throughout the game.

Season 84 rookie-MVP Bella Belen, despite dealing with back pain, contributed nine digs and five receptions, highlighting her resilience for the team.

National University's victory improves their record to 9-2, placing them third in the standings and boosting their chances of securing a twice-to-beat advantage against De La Salle Lady Spikers on Sunday.
