UST women's volleyball team beats UP in four sets

University of Santo Tomas secured a four-set victory over University of the Philippines in their women's volleyball match during UAAP Season 86 on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Jonna Perdido and Regina Jurado each scored career-high 24 points, contributing significantly to UST's decisive win despite Poyos' absence due to dehydration.

UST coach Kung Fu Reyes emphasized his team's dedication to maintaining their top spot in the tournament with only three games left, two of which are against Final Four contenders Far Eastern and University of the East.

The Golden Tigresses faced a close third set but regained control to win decisively, improving their record to 10-1 and setting themselves up for the upcoming matches.

UST will next face Far Eastern University on Saturday, while UP will play against Adamson University.
