Adamson Lady Falcons sweep UP in softball, narrowly win volleyball despite no Final Four chance

Adamson University's Lady Falcons rallied from a 3-2 loss in Game 1 of the UAAP Season 86 softball finals to defeat the University of the Philippines, 15-2, on Saturday night.

The same day, the Adamson Lady Falcons secured a hard-fought five-set victory over UP in women's volleyball, winning 25-17, 23-25, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13 despite being out of contention for the Final Four.

May Nuique, Adamson’s middle blocker, scored 15 points and expressed a desire to finish their season with dignity, acknowledging they no longer have a chance at advancing.

Jeelyn Pajotal's softball performance was crucial as she started the game with a hit, contributing to Adamson's 20-hit outing in the softball match, while Karen Verdeflor’s defensive efforts were key in the volleyball win.

Adamson coach Ana Santiago expressed confidence for the upcoming Game 3 of the softball finals on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m., and JP Yude emphasized the need to strengthen character and composure before the season ends.
