NU, FEU top UAAP volleyball; Solomon, Espartero named Players of the Week

National University and Far Eastern University maintained perfect 7-0 records in the first round of UAAP Season 87 women's and men's volleyball divisions.

Alyssa Solomon from National University and Mikko Espartero from Far Eastern University were named Collegiate Press Corps Players of the Week for their outstanding offensive performances.

Solomon scored a combined total of 46 points in crucial matches against Adamson and University of Santo Tomas, demonstrating her consistency as the reigning Finals MVP and Best Opposite Spiker.

Espartero's career-best performance included 27 points in a comeback victory over De La Salle Green Spikers, highlighting his return to the team after being left out last year.

Both players emphasized the importance of teamwork and maintaining composure under pressure during their post-game interviews.
