Belen leads women's MVP race with 159.6 SPs

On Wednesday, March 19, UAAP Season 87 statistician Pong Ducanes announced that National University women's volleyball player Bella Belen leads the MVP race with 159.6 SPs after the first round of eliminations.

Belen, who is undefeated and defending champion, has accumulated 107 points in scoring, leading aces at 0.63 per set, ranking sixth in digs at 2.60 per set, and fifth in receiving efficiency with 33.58 percent, moving closer to her third MVP award.

Adamson's rookie Shaina Nitura ranks third with 145.556 SPs due to her impressive scoring average of 24.3 points per game.

In the men's division, Ateneo de Manila University's Kennedy Batas leads the MVP race with 160.37 SPs, ranking first in scoring with 142 points, fourth in spiking efficiency at 45.52 percent, and fourth in aces with 0.37 per set.
