Two new COVID-19 cases in Lanao Norte, CDO

A 21-year-old patient in Cagayan de Oro City and a seafarer who arrived in Iligan City have tested positive for COVID-19.

The patient was admitted on April 19 after a vehicular accident, underwent surgery, and later showed symptoms of pneumonia. He is currently intubated but not critical.

Health workers who attended to the Cagayan de Oro patient are under quarantine while contact tracing is ongoing.

One of eight seafarers from Manila tested positive for IgG antibodies in Iligan; he is a resident of Lanao del Norte and was repatriated from Italy. He is stable and monitored by HEART.

Five other seafarers arrived at Ozamiz City port, with one testing positive via rapid test but awaiting confirmatory RT-PCR results.
