Cebu, Lapu-Lapu order mass rapid testing for COVID-19

Cebu City released a mass testing schedule using rapid test kits for an estimated 23,000 families between May 1 and 10.

Those who tested positive will undergo confirmatory PCR tests from May 10 to 15.

The results will help determine if Cebu can downgrade from enhanced community quarantine to general community quarantine.

Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard Chan ordered a rapid mass testing of 10% of the household population after finding that most positive cases were asymptomatic.
