Roque: MECQ families get second tranche cash aid

Families in areas under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) will receive the second tranche of emergency cash assistance.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque clarified that MECQ areas are included in the second tranche, addressing earlier confusion.

Areas under MECQ include Metro Manila, Laguna, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Zambales from May 16 to 31.

Residents of GCQ areas have appealed for continued aid despite the easing of restrictions due to concerns about income recovery.
