Duterte's address leaves fate of ECQ unclear

President Rodrigo Duterte's televised address on Tuesday did not provide any clear announcements regarding the fate of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) beyond May 15.

Netizens expressed confusion and frustration over the lack of concrete information, despite speculation about potential extensions or changes to quarantine measures.

Duterte met with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases on Monday evening to discuss recommendations for ECQ adjustments.

The current ECQ is set to end on May 15 in Metro Manila and other high-risk areas, while the rest of the country remains under general community quarantine.
