Caraga completes PHP1.5B SAP distribution to non-4Ps families

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Caraga Region has completed the distribution of PHP1.5 billion worth of emergency cash subsidies to 305,096 low-income families who are not part of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

Each family received a PHP5,000 subsidy to help cushion the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on their livelihoods.

The local government units (LGUs) in Caraga completed 100% distribution by May 8, with key strategies including close coordination between DSWD staff and barangay officials, use of social media, and public announcements.
