Over 15M households get social amelioration aid before May 10 deadline

As of Sunday, May 10, over 15 million households out of the targeted 18 million have received emergency cash subsidies from the government under the Social Amelioration Program.

DSWD spokesperson Irene Dumlao stated that more than 85% of the P100 billion allocated for the first tranche has been distributed.

Local government units are expected to continue payouts, with some areas still distributing aid as of the May 10 deadline.
