Angge Poyos and Ariel Cacao shine in UAAP volleyball

University of Santo Tomas' Angge Poyos and Far Eastern University's Ariel Cacao have emerged as standout players in the first week of UAAP Season 86 volleyball tournaments from February 17 to 25.

Poyos led her team to three wins with an average of 20 points per match, including a peak performance of 24 against Casiey Dongallo from the University of the East and scoring 4 crucial points in a nerve-wracking fifth set against defending champion La Salle.

Cacao, a second-year playmaker for FEU, has averaged 17.67 excellent sets in his team's three victories, highlighting his consistent contribution to Far Eastern University's success and earning him the Collegiate Press Corps UAAP Player of the Week presented by San Miguel Corporation.

Despite her strong performances, Poyos remains unsatisfied and aims to improve further in upcoming matches, emphasizing that she hopes to contribute even more to the team.

Both players expressed gratitude towards their teammates and emphasized the importance of teamwork for continued success in future games.
