De La Salle beats Far Eastern in women's volleyball

De La Salle University extended their winning streak in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament with a straight-set victory over Far Eastern University on Tuesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Angel Canino led De La Salle to another win, scoring a game-high 13 points and contributing seven excellent receptions, while second-year libero Lyka de Leon stood out with strong defensive plays.

Despite leading early, De La Salle struggled in the third set but managed to secure their victory with key contributions from Canino. Far Eastern University fought back but fell short due to several errors.

De La Salle's deputy coach Noel Orcullo acknowledged that while they won, there are still areas for improvement, particularly during training sessions.

Canino emphasized the need for her team to work harder in practice and fix their lapses and errors to avoid similar situations in future matches. De La Salle will aim for their third straight victory on Sunday against University of Santo Tomas at the Mall of Asia Arena.
