Philippines Reports Record Low New COVID-19 Cases

The Philippines reported 1,766 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the national tally to 2,795,642.

Active cases decreased to 37,159 with 68.9% mild, 5.3% asymptomatic, 8.2% severe, and 3.5% critical.

Total recoveries increased by 5,007 to 2,708,468 while the death toll rose by 128 to 43,404.

Wednesday saw a record low of 1,591 new cases since February 24th, with active cases at 38,041 and recoveries increasing by 4,294.

On Tuesday, the DOH reported 2,303 new cases, the lowest in eight months, pushing total recoveries to 2,708,468 and deaths to 43,404.
