PNP reports 24 new COVID-19 cases, total at 41,868

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported 24 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, increasing the total number of infections among its personnel to 41,868.

As of Tuesday, 471 PNP members are active cases and 41,274 have recovered from the disease; the death toll remains at 123.

PNP chief Police Gen. Guillermo Eleazar reported on Friday that around 89% or 199,362 of PNP personnel are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, while over 21,000 await their second dose; only 1% remain unvaccinated.

On Monday, the Department of Health (DOH) reported a total of 43,185 active cases nationwide and 2,790,375 cumulative infections since the start of the pandemic.
