PH recoveries hit 1.47M, new cases at 7K

As of Tuesday, the Philippines' total number of coronavirus recoveries reached 1,478,625 with 5,672 new recoveries recorded.

The Department of Health reported a 94.6% recovery rate from a total of 1,562,420 infections since the start of the pandemic last year.

New confirmed cases increased to 7,186, raising active cases to 56,477 or 3.6 percent of all cases.

The death toll rose by 72 new fatalities to a total of 27,318 or 1.75% of the total cases.

Upon checking with the team, higher case numbers reported today are due to a later data extraction time than usual.
