PH detects 79 more Omicron subvariant cases

The Philippines has detected an additional 79 cases of Omicron subvariants BA.5, BA.2.12.1, and BA.4 from July 7 to 11.

Of these, 60 cases were BA.5, with 58 in Western Visayas, one each in Davao Region and Soccsksargen.

The DOH is still verifying the vaccination status and travel history of most individuals; one case was unvaccinated.

Currently, 43 cases are tagged as recovered, 14 are isolating, and three outcomes remain undetermined.
