Philippines logs 1,604 new COVID-19 cases

The Philippines logged 1,604 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the active case tally to 14,862.

This is an increase from Tuesday's total of 14,464 and marks a steady rise in infections over recent days.

The DOH reported that recoveries have risen to 3,647,512 while deaths remain at 60,460.

In the past two weeks, NCR recorded the highest number of cases with 8,251 followed by Calabarzon and Western Visayas.

The bed occupancy rate in hospitals nationwide increased slightly to 22.1%, but remains low with 22,787 beds still vacant.
