Habagat brings rain, clouds to Metro Manila, Luzon, Palawan

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect western parts of Luzon and Palawan, bringing cloudy skies and rain showers to Metro Manila and other regions on Monday.

Metro Manila, Batanes Islands, Zambales, Bataan, the Ilocos Region, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, and parts of Mindanao will experience scattered rain showers or thunderstorms due to Habagat's influence and easterlies.

PAGASA reported that no weather disturbances are expected in the coming days but warned of possible flash floods and landslides during heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

The western section of Luzon may experience light to moderate winds blowing southwest to south with slight to moderate coastal waters, while other parts of the country will have light to moderate easterly winds with similar conditions.

Eastern Luzon is expected to experience hot and humid weather.
