PAGASA warns of heavy rain, thunderstorms in Metro Manila, Zambales, Tarlac, Bulacan

Heavy to intense rains continue to affect parts of Metro Manila and eight provinces in Luzon on Saturday, with PAGASA issuing an advisory at 3:48 p.m.

The state weather bureau warned that thunderstorms may persist within two hours over specific areas including Paranaque, Muntinlupa, Taguig in Metro Manila, Santa Cruz, Candelaria, Botolan, Cabangan in Zambales, San Jose, Capas, Mayantoc, San Clemente in Tarlac, Dona Remedios Trinidad, San Miguel, San Ildefonso in Bulacan, Real, Mauban in Quezon Province, Siniloan, Pangil, Pakil in Laguna, Naic, Tanza in Cavite, Malvar, Santo Tomas, Rosario in Batangas, General Tinio, Gapan, Penaranda in Nueva Ecisia.

PAGASA advised residents to take necessary precautions against flash floods and landslides as moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are expected within the next two hours in these areas.

In addition, Pampanga, Bataan, and Rizal are also experiencing moderate to heavy rains that may persist for up to two hours.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures against potential hazards associated with these weather conditions.
