PAGASA forecasts heavy rain over Batanes, Babuyan Islands

PAGASA forecasts cloudy skies and moderate to heavy rain over Batanes and Babuyan Islands on Sunday due to a shear line or tail-end of a frontal system.

Flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas, as well as in Palawan where scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

Metro Manila and other parts of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon experienced light rains on Saturday, caused by a shear line in its eastern section and northeast monsoon elsewhere.
