Scattered rain showers, thunderstorms hit eastern Philippines, Palawan due to ITCZ

Parts of Eastern Visayas, Southern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, and other regions will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) on Thursday.

Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ, increasing the risk of flash floods or landslides during heavy rains.

Caraga and Davao Region will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to easterlies, posing a potential for flash floods or landslides during severe weather conditions.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Metro Manila, and other parts of the country will have fair weather in the morning but may experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms.

Pagasa forecasts generally fair weather across most of the country on Thursday, with a higher chance of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in Palawan, Eastern Visayas, and parts of Mindanao.
