PAGASA issues thunderstorm advisory for Metro Manila and 7 provinces

Moderate to heavy rains accompanied by lightning and strong winds hit Metro Manila and seven other provinces in Luzon on Wednesday afternoon, according to the state weather bureau PAGASA.

The affected areas include Quezon, Laguna, Cavite, Nueva Ecija, Rizal, Batangas, and Bataan, with additional warnings for parts of Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, and Bulacan experiencing moderate to heavy rains within the next two hours.

PAGASA issued a thunderstorm advisory at 1:38 p.m., warning that conditions may persist for up to three hours in some regions and could affect nearby areas.

Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides, as Pagasa continues to monitor the situation closely.

The agency also reminded the public to remain vigilant and exercise caution due to potential weather-related incidents.
