Paeng death toll reaches 160; over P11B damage reported

The number of reported fatalities due to Severe Tropical Storm Paeng has risen to 160 as of Saturday, with 132 deaths confirmed and 28 pending validation.

The storm affected 1,357,807 families across 17 regions, resulting in over P11 billion worth of damage to agriculture and infrastructure.

Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao has the highest death toll with 64 confirmed deaths, followed by Western Visayas with 37 and Calabarzon with 33.
