Paeng damage nears P12B; agriculture losses exceed PHP6.4B

The damage from Severe Tropical Storm Paeng to agriculture and infrastructure has reached PHP12 billion as of Wednesday.

As of Sunday, the total damage was reported at PHP11.84 billion, with agricultural losses exceeding PHP6.4 billion and infrastructure damages estimated at PHP5.43 billion.

Affected farmers and fisherfolk number around 147,000 across various regions including Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Soccsksargen, BARMM and CAR.
