Paeng damage tops P11B; agriculture hits P6.19B

As of Thursday, November 10, damage to agriculture and infrastructure from Severe Tropical Storm Paeng has reached over PHP11 billion.

Agricultural losses alone are now at PHP6.19 billion in several regions including Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), and the Cordillera regions.

Infrastructure damage is estimated at PHP5.05 billion across similar regions.

The storm has affected 144,682 farmers and fisherfolk with a death toll of 159 as of Wednesday morning.
