NU women's volleyball team loses to FEU despite twice-to-beat advantage

National University's top-seeded women's volleyball team, despite having a twice-to-beat advantage, lost to Far Eastern University in straight sets on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

NU star player Bella Belen admitted that her team felt too much pressure during the match, leading to 25 errors and poor offensive performance.

Belen emphasized that FEU faced elimination if they lost, which should have put more pressure on them than NU, but the Lady Bulldogs were unable to loosen up and enjoyed the game.

Despite the loss, Belen praised FEU for their grit and determination and reminded her teammates not to be complacent, urging them to return to their system and stay hungry for Wednesday's rematch at the Big Dome.

The do-or-die match will take place on May 8 at 4 pm at the Araneta Coliseum, where Belen expressed confidence in her team's ability to regain their fearsome form.
