NU women's, men's volleyball teams advance to Finals

National University secured its third consecutive UAAP women's volleyball Finals appearance after defeating Far Eastern University in straight sets on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Meanwhile, National University’s men's volleyball team advanced closer to a historic fourth-straight title by sweeping University of Santo Tomas 25-17, 26-24, 25-19 in Game 1 of the Season 86 Finals on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Buds Buddin led NU's comeback with 16 points and nine receptions despite a fractured right hand, while Nico Almendras top scored with 16 markers and 19 receptions; the Bulldogs will aim to seal their victory in the best-of-three series against UST on Wednesday.

Head coach Dante Alinsunurin emphasized maintaining focus and making necessary adjustments as they prepare for the final game, aiming to secure a fourth-straight UAAP men's volleyball title.
