NU Lady Bulldogs reach UAAP finals, aim to reclaim title

The NU Lady Bulldogs secured their place in the UAAP Season 86 finals by defeating FEU in a do-or-die match on Wednesday, May 8.

Bella Belen led the team with a strong performance of 21 points, including five aces and 14 excellent receptions, while Sheena Toring contributed 11 points with six blocks.

Former NU legend Jaja Santiago, fresh from Japan, cheered for her alma mater during the match and celebrated with the current Lady Bulldogs after their victory.

Toring expressed her inspiration from seeing former teammates and Santiago, emphasizing that they are playing not only for themselves but also for past NU players who did not win a championship.

Santiago provided tips to Belen and Alyssa Solomon before the team heads into the finals against UST on Saturday.

With this victory, NU faces UST in the finals for the third consecutive season, aiming to reclaim their title after losing it in Season 85.
