National U advances to men's volleyball finals

National University advanced to the finals of the UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball tournament on Wednesday after defeating De La Salle University in a four-set match at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Owa Retamar led National U with 21 excellent sets and five blocks, contributing significantly to their victory as he prepares to graduate from his Financial Management course the following day.

De La Salle University's JM Ronquillo scored 7 points in their losing effort, but the Bulldogs' collective efforts secured their ninth consecutive finals appearance.

National University will face either Far Eastern University or University of Santo Tomas in the finals as they aim to retain their title for a sixth UAAP championship.

Coach Dante Alinsunurin expressed happiness and gratitude after leading his team to both the UAAP Season 86 Finals and the PVL All-Filipino Conference semifinals, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of his players and staff throughout the season.
