NU rallies to beat Adamson 3-1 in UAAP men's volleyball

National University (NU) secured a four-set victory over Adamson University in their Season 86 UAAP men's volleyball match on Wednesday morning, recovering from splitting the first two sets to take down Adamson by scores of 25-19, 25-27, 25-21, and 25-18.

Nico Almendras led NU with 23 points and 19 excellent receptions, while rookie Jade Disquitado added 21 points and 11 receptions to support the team's comeback.

Coach Dante Alinsunurin noted that despite a second-set challenge, the Bulldogs maintained their strength and resilience throughout the match.

Joshua Retamar excelled as the playmaker with two blocks and 31 excellent sets, setting up NU’s offense and helping them secure the win.

Adamson University now sits at 1-2 after the loss, while National University will face the University of the Philippines on Saturday to continue their adjustment following last week's loss to UST.
