Adamson men's and women's volleyball teams beat UE

Adamson University improved its record to .500 in both the men's and women's UAAP Season 86 volleyball tournaments, securing victories over the University of the East (UE) on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Soaring Falcons won their men's match with scores of 25-16, 25-20, and 25-23, while the Lady Falcons narrowly triumphed in women's volleyball with scores of 25-19, 25-19, 26-28, and 29-27.

Francis Casas led the men's team with 14 points from attacks and blocks, while Jude Aguilar contributed 14 markers. In women's volleyball, Barbie Jamili made her UAAP debut scoring 20 points.

Adamson coach George Pascua credited his men's squad for their motivation to improve after previous losses, while the women's team overcame a resilient UE without head coach Jerry Yee due to suspension.

UE remains winless in both tournaments with four consecutive losses each. Meanwhile, the UAAP announced that Coach Yee will be suspended for the remainder of the season following conduct violations.
