FEU edges UST in tight five-set match to remain unbeaten

Far Eastern University (FEU) secured a narrow victory over the University of Santo Tomas in a thrilling 28-26, 21-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-12 match to remain unbeaten and lead the UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball tournament.

FEU's rookie Andrei Delicana scored a crucial 18 points with five digs and four receptions, keying their comeback win in the fifth set.

UST dropped to a 2-2 record despite Josh Ybanez's season-high 30-point performance and Gboy De Vega’s efforts.

In an earlier match, Adamson University defeated the winless University of the East with a decisive 25-16, 25-20, 25-23 victory, improving to a 2-2 record tied with UST and Ateneo.

Jude Christian Aguilar and Francis Casas each scored 14 points for Adamson, while rookie Joel Menor added 12 points and seven excellent receptions.
