Adamson secures first UAAP win over UP in tight women's volleyball match

Adamson University secured its first victory in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball competition by defeating the University of the Philippines in a tight match on Saturday.

The game ended with scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 28-26 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Ishie Lalongisip and Mayang Nique led Adamson with 12 points each, while AA Adolfo contributed 11 points.

Adamson coach JP Yude praised his team's determination, particularly their resilience in winning a closely contested third set.

Nina Ytang was the top scorer for UP with 18 points, including 12 attacks and six blocks.

Adamson will face National University on Wednesday at 2 PM, while UP will play against Ateneo de Manila University later that day.
