NU beats UP 3-0 in UAAP men's volleyball, extends undefeated streak

National University defeated the University of the Philippines in three sets during the UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball tournament on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs improved their record to 7-1 and maintained their undefeated streak, while UP remained winless with an eighth consecutive loss.

Nico Almendras led National University with 19 attack points and nine excellent receptions, contributing significantly in the first two sets.

Jade Disquitado, a rookie for NU, also scored 13 points, supporting Almendras' performance.

Coach Dante Alinsunurin praised his team's composure during the match, noting their ability to adapt despite a slow start.

The Bulldogs will face University of Santo Tomas on Sunday in what could be a pivotal game given UST's previous victory over NU.
