Adamson beats Ateneo in men's volleyball, loses in women's

Adamson University secured a victory over Ateneo de Manila University in the UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball tournament on Wednesday, but Ateneo responded with a win against Adamson later that night.

The Soaring Falcons won the men’s match with scores of 28-26, 25-22, and 30-28 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, while Ateneo dominated the women's game with sets of 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, and 25-23.

In the men's match, Marc Paulino led Adamson with 16 points, six receptions, and five digs, while John Gay contributed 16 points and 13 receptions. In contrast, Ateneo’s Ken Batas scored 20 points in their loss.

The women's game saw Sobe Buena and Lyann De Guzman leading the Blue Eagles with 22 points each, as Ateneo overcame a third-set deficit to secure victory.

Both teams now have a 3-3 record in men’s volleyball standings and are at 2-4 in women's volleyball standings.
