National University women's volleyball team beats winless UE

National University's women's volleyball team aims to regain its winning form against the struggling University of the East on Wednesday, April 9, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

The Lady Bulldogs, led by MVP Bella Belen, bounced back from their loss to Adamson last Sunday with a decisive victory over UE, improving their record to 10-2 and maintaining their strong bid for the second twice-to-beat bonus slot in the Final Four.

Skipper Bella Belen starred with 16 points, including two service aces, while teammate Aisha Bello added nine points as National University dismantled the winless UE side.

With Alyssa Solomon doubtful due to an ankle sprain, the Lady Bulldogs hold a two-game cushion over Far Eastern University in the race for the second twice-to-beat slot.

No player from UE breached double-digit scoring, with Khy Cepada, Van Bangayan, and Riza Nogales each contributing six points.
