Mapua Lady Cardinals tie for first in NCAA women's volleyball

Mapua University continued its impressive run by defeating the University of Perpetual Help in NCAA Season 100 women's volleyball on Saturday at the UPHSD Gym, tying for first place with a record of 7-2.

Just two days after stunning reigning three-peat champion College of St. Benilde, Mapua secured another victory, bringing its overall standing to a strong position within the league.

Raissa Janel Ricablanca led the Lady Cardinals with 17 points, while Nadine Angeli Berces and Alyana Nicole Ong contributed significantly with 12 and 10 points respectively.

Emilio Aguinaldo University also saw some success on Saturday by routing Jose Rizal University in men's volleyball, improving its record to 2-6.

Despite the recent victories, Mapua still has nine elimination round matches left before reaching the finals, but their recent triumphs put them in a prime position for a championship title.
