8 pm-4 am curfew in Metro Manila starting Aug. 6

Starting Aug. 6, Metro Manila will implement an 8 pm to 4 am curfew due to rising COVID-19 cases.

The decision was made by MMDA chair Benhur Abalos and the mayors of the National Capital Region in response to the threat posed by the Delta variant.

Previously, the curfew hours were shortened from midnight to 4 am on June 15.

Metro Manila will be under ECQ from Aug. 6 to Aug. 20.
