Over 20K health protocol violations recorded on first day of NCR ECQ

Over 20,500 health protocol violations were recorded on the first day of the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

Of these, 5,781 individuals ignored curfew hours while 14,775 violated minimum public health standards such as improper use of face masks and non-observance of social distancing.

Metro Manila had the highest number of violators with 4,394, followed by Cavite (540), Laguna (471), Rizal (370), and Bulacan (6).

The Joint Task Force Covid Shield reported that 2,201 curfew violators in Metro Manila underwent community service from Friday to Saturday morning.
