Perpetual Help rallies past San Beda to tie for 4th

Perpetual Help rallied past San Beda University in a five-set match on Tuesday at the FilOil EcoOil Arena to keep their semifinal campaign alive in the NCAA Season 99 women's volleyball tournament.

Shai Omipon led Perpetual Help with 26 points, while Mary Rhose Dapol contributed 17 crucial hits and Winnie Bedana added 16 points, securing a 3-2 record for the Lady Altas.

With this win, Perpetual Help tied Arellano University and Mapua Institute of Technology (Mapua) in a three-way tie for fourth place with a 3-2 card each.

The victory was particularly significant as it came after a tough loss to Lyceum where Dapol's performance did not translate into a win, but she bounced back strongly against San Beda.

Meanwhile, Mapua also secured their spot in the semifinal contention by defeating Jose Rizal University 3-0 with Roxie Dela Cruz leading them with 10 points.
