Enteng exits PAR; monsoon rains affect Luzon, Visayas

Tropical Storm Enteng exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Sunday afternoon.

As of 5 p.m., Enteng was located 730 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph and gustiness up to 90 kph.

PAGASA warned that gusty conditions associated with the Southwest Monsoon (habagat) may persist over Pangasinan, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Western Visayas.

The monsoon rains will also affect Ilocos Region, Abra, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Cavite, Batangas, Aklan, Antique, and other parts of Luzon.

PAGASA is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) west of Dagupan City that may develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
